Roses at Witherspoon Rose Culture

I visited Witherspoon Rose Culture in Durham this afternoon, camera in hand. Last time I was there, I had been invited to judge a photo contest and completely regretted not bringing my own camera. The roses are plentiful and gorgeous beyond my wildest dreams. It's fun just walking through the gardens and pretending I have the resources to select my favorite roses.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Tree iceberg

Stainless Steel (I love the dusting of gray blushing color on the tips.)

Rio Samba

Another variation of Rio Samba

A type of knockout rose (tea rose which I forgot the exact name of)

Hot Tamale

Granada (I love that this flower looks like I added a ton of contrast to the photo, but I didn't. That's how it actually looks).

Granada

Graham Thomas (an English rose; these roses tend to resemble cabbages and are sometimes called "cabbage roses")

Cl. Fourth of July
