All day long I had been dying to leave work and take advantage of the beautiful 85-degree summer day at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens. I heard the waterlilies are beautiful this time of year, though it seems the other plants are what caught my attention.
I am a 29-year-old wife of a chef and mother of a little boy and girl, 2 cats and a dog. I have lived in Durham for 6 years, before that, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Morganton, Poughkeepsie, New York, and Johnson City, Tennessee. I love to travel and experience customs unlike ours here in America. I love to photograph all of my experiences, new and old, and am pleased that I can do that for a living. I am also a writer and graphic designer in the Triangle area. My passions are photography, writing, eating, dancing, singing, cats, traveling, hiking, scrapbooking, chocolate, wine, talking, listening, movies, books, clothes, my husband. Did I leave anything out?

Your photos make anything look beautiful, including the dreaded Japanese beetle. Awesome!

I agree with your mom...I love the cone flower with the butterfly...
Love the echinacea ones with the moth!! Can't agree with you about loving 85 degree weather though!
