Hubby in focus

I have been blessed with a very patient and technologically savvy father-in-law, a man who enjoys capturing family memories on film and documenting history. About a year ago, he spent a good deal of time scanning in more than one hundred old Busbee family photos. Now, scanning in photos is no quick task. It requires more patience than I know. But as I am told, he truly enjoyed scanning in each and every photo. And he didn't stop there. He organized the photos into a slideshow on a digital photo frame, presented each child with the frame as a gift, and gave us digital copies of all the scanned images. The gift was priceless.
Hubby and I recently sifted through some of the photos over dinner one evening, and enjoyed the photo show once again.
I thought I might share with you a small photographic history of the delightful man I married.

It's a boy. Baby Jed Busbee with his mommy the day he was born.

Look at that striking young lad in the red turtleneck. I see so much of him in our baby Caleb.

Ahhhh the infamous Olan Mills family photo. This here is hubby and his sister Hannah. I'm guessing this dates back to his senior year in high school, as hubby appears to be wearing a class ring.

I adore this family photo. Look at toddler hubby's face. He seems pleased. To top it off though he has dressed to mimic his father, a man for whom he has so much respect.

Just look at that face! And those Jesus sandals.

Another Olan Mills masterpiece. Cut-off sleeves, a bowl cut, and a kitten. It's perfection.

At what point can I expect baby Caleb to ask me if he can join the Boy Scouts of America?

I'm not so sure that this photo needs a caption.
I will say that I just realized that hubby still owns that tie.

Go Bulldogs!!!! I love the t-shirt tucked into the acid-washed jeans.

This photo just breaks my heart. Look at his face. So angelic I could eat it.

And another opportunity for hubby to dress exactly like his father. Still wearing that same tie. And yes, he still owns the hat.

Such a cutie. I can totally see myself passing a note to this little boy during Social Studies.
Do you like me? Check yes or no.
He was way too cool for me though. He would have said no I'm certain.

Hubby and his daddy posing in the fall leaves. Picture perfect!

Sweatpants. Flannel bedroom slippers. And not one, but two guns.
That hubby of mine lives dangerously.

Hubby holding his baby sister in the hospital.

Best. outfit. ever.

So glad I married this man. The end.

That is awesome. This is really THE reason I'm a photographer, to capture things like this so I can always remember them. My dad did a similar thing this year and gave me all the photos, I think I did a post about them but if not I should, they mean the world to me.
