Table for eight

Today baby Caleb, hubby, and I did two new and exciting activities – bring Caleb to visit what will soon be his daycare and purchase a new and improved kitchen table. Though I was only able to capture one activity on film, I did manage to include some darling and completely unrelated photos of Caleb.
So we visited with his daycare instructors for a few hours this morning, met some of the other babies in his class and asked the majority of our lingering questions before his first day of "school." I feel very comfortable with his care, but am still sad to surrender my cutie-pie son to anyone other than myself and family.

Here is Caleb in his crib, looking extremely chubby and cute. This is his "I am being forced by my mommy to wake up" pose so I can "top him off" with some milk before I go to bed.

Here Caleb is playing with his baby gym (which I was happy to learn they have plenty of models of these contraptions at his daycare).

He is decked out in a precious guitar shirt.

Part II of our new & exciting day involved purchasing a new and upgraded kitchen table, one that can fit more than four people. Hubby and I love to throw dinner parties, but in the past have been very limited as to the number of guests we were able to invite. Our old table – purchased at Big Lots for $150 – could only seat 4 people and now lives out in the sunroom. It served us well for 4 years now.
Our new table can seat 8 people! Wow we are moving up in the world.

Gorgeous table!

The table is from World Market. It happens to be the exact one that Melissa and Bryce have, except that Jed and I opted for two benches instead of one. We also got different end chairs than Melissa and Bryce.

Love it! The two benches are going to be great! I had to beg Bryce to get one and now he loves it! It looks beautiful. Cannot wait to enjoy some of Jed's delish cooking and some good beers one night soon! (but we have to go to bed earlier this time!)
