Here is Caleb in his big boy high chair, eagerly awaiting his first meal of rice cereal. Hubby and I were anticipating his 4-month birthday so that we could try feeding Caleb some big boy food. I realize it barely counts as food, but it is fun to use the spoon and bowl and watch Caleb make a mess.
And here comes the spoon full of goodies!
Caleb opens up without much pressure from us, takes a bite, and lets the rice cereal sit in his mouth for a bit before choosing to either swallow or shove the food out with his tongue.
This was a shove food out with the tongue shot.
Yet he seems to like it. He just needs to get the hang of it.
We've been at it for 6 days now and he is probably swallowing about half of a serving.
But he sure does enjoy the act of eating like a big boy!

He is the highchair....wow and it looks like it fits! He is such a good eater, in the photos. :-) The messy part will grow as the task becomes his to preform...those photos WILL be messy.....
