Meeting my Great-Grandmomma

Baby Caleb has a few words to say on his recent trip to Alabama. Enjoy!

Last Saturday mommy and daddy drove me all the way down to Andalusia, Alabama to meet my Great Grandmother (known in the Busbee family as Grandmomma).

Grandmomma is 91 years old and lives in a house built along the river. Daddy tells me that he used to play there a lot as a child.

Grandmomma thinks I'm the sweetest baby she's ever met (and she's right)!

She thinks I look exactly like my daddy and my Great-Granddaddy. It must be the blue eyes and strawberry blond hair.

Grandmomma didn't once mention if I looked like my mommy, and that's probably for the best that I got my daddy's good looks.

I got to test out my Great Uncle Larry's baby rocker that was given to him by my Great Great Grandmother. (All this family lineage is quite confusing for a 7-month old baby)!

I spent most of our visit to Alabama sitting on one of Grandmomma's hand-made quilts playing with toys galore.

Then of course I HAD to be photographed in the family wash basin. It's a tradition.

My Elvis lip should express just how much I enjoyed being in the bucket.

I was much happier with my daddy by my side. He makes me feel safe and loved.

Thank you mommy and daddy for introducing me to Grandmomma. I had a great time in Alabama.

The second picture from the top, with Grandmomma, Jed and Caleb, is a great photo of Demp. I would love to have a copy, when you can. Thank you in advance. :-)

Oh he does too look like you! you just don't do the "ooh" mouth (or drool mouth?) in the pictures, thats why he looks more like Jed in those pictures.
