Concert at the ballpark

With hardly any decent seats left on sale, hubby and I decided to purchase tickets for the Miranda Lambert concert held last night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. We had to opt for seats in one of the upper sections, but they were seats nonetheless. We knew at least a month in advance about this concert, which had Eric Church and Josh Kelley as opening acts, and we knew we wanted to go. But we procrastinated...as usual.

We invited fellow fans Misty and Brandon to attend the concert with us, and had a round of beers at Tyler's Taproom before showing up fashionably late to the concert, nearing the end of Josh Kelley's performance.

The colder the evening got, the more beer we felt the urge to drink. Kudos to the ballpark for a growing beer selection.

The guys appear to be stoned, but I promise you they are not. It must be a guy thing to not be able to handle the camera flash very well.

Miranda Lambert has been in the business of country music for quite some time now. I credit my friend April for introducing me to Miranda's first album, Kerosene. It is full of really great songs, but none of which were considered mega hits.

Her new album, Revolution, propelled her to legendary status, has gone platinum, and gave her her first #1 hit, "White Liar." I hope her success continues. She has such talent!
